The Best Netflix Shows To Binge For Breakfast (And Every Other Time of the Day)

Netflix is officially watching you.

Just when I thought Netflix didn't know what I was doing or watching (you know since I constantly get those "are you still watching?" pop-ups) I got the ultimate sign that it does.

A recent survey by Netflix tracked what viewers watched in 22 countries over six months and the media company discovered what users liked to watch during specific times of the day. And what'd they come up with you ask?

Netflix viewers prefer a diet of comedy at breakfast, a portion of drama on their lunch break and a midnight snack of documentaries.

At 6am members are 34% more likely to watch a comedy than at any other time of the day. Sneaking in an episode of a drama at lunchtime has emerged as a popular pastime and thrillers are on the menu for more than a quarter of people by 9pm. Then comedy takes the lead once again right before bed.

As a frequent Netflix user, I'd have to say the results are pretty accurate, though I do love comedy all of the time.

These findings inspired me to come up with my own daily-binge plan. Here’s what I would watch and when from midnight to midnight and yes, I know; I do need a hobby that doesn't involve staring at my computer.

Midnight – 1 a.m.: Good Burger. (Welcome to Good Burger, home of the Good Burger, can I take your order?)

1 a.m. – 2 a.m.: Seventeen Again (the Tia + Tamera Mowry version)

2 a.m. – 7 a.m.: I'll skip around a binge a few episodes of Dear White People

7 a.m. – noon: The perfect time for some Jane the Virgin.

Noon – 2 p.m.: Sort of like my mid-day motivation, I'll watch season 1, episode 9 of Being Mary Jane

2 p.m. – 4 p.m.: I should be working buttttt I'd rather re-watch Grey's Anatomy

4 p.m. – 5 p.m.:  Did I mention I'm still watching Grey's Anatomy.  Lord, I hope the people on the train don't see me tearing up during the plane crash episode.

5 p.m. – 7 p.m.:  Time for tacos and Riverdale. My mom's been pushing me to watch it.

7 p.m. – 9 p.m.:  Break time for me. And I go back to Grey's Anatomy. #SorryNotSorry.

9 p.m. – midnight: I gave up on Riverdale and decided to binge-watch Chewing Gum instead.

What are your go-to shows + movies to binge-watch for breakfast, lunch and dinner?
